“We’ve always loved each other. We just weren’t old enough to know it.”
This was a perfect mixture of the Stephen King novels "It" and "Stand by Me" as well as the "A Nightmare on Elm Street" movie.
No one combines horror, humor and M/M like John Inman. And yet, besides all the terror and emotional turmoil, there's always such an emotionally exhausting sadness in his stories. This is primarily a horror story, but it's also a story about loss, grief, finding closure and moving on.
If you're a horror fan, I highly recommend this book.
If you're reading it for the romance aspect, be prepared for some serious heartsore.
